This is a for real steel ballistic helmet that will stop pistol rounds. That said, this helmet, due to back face deformation will kill you. At best this might be closer to a NIJ level I or II. Think of this as the best bump helmet available or the worst ballistic helmet available. The liner and suspension is fair, I will immediately replace mine with better padding.
