Let me tell you, I have already received several compliments on this jacket's looks, construction, functionality and value. Several of my co-workers have stopped me by the water-cooler or on my way to and from the elevator to my desk to ask me about it (didn't realize there were so many riders out there), and I tell them how happy I am with the jacket. The outisde of the jacket is very bright and matches perfectly with my Firstgear Sierra rain pants. The reflective piping is geneours, and I have no doubt that it has contributed my being seen by other drivers when pulling out of their driveway in the dark rainy Oregon mornings as soon as I come into their field of vision. I have seen cars thinking of pulling out, and immediatly stop, as I was wondering if they would see me at the same time I saw them considering the darkness and rain. I have no doubt the high visibiltiy nature of the jacket has helped with me feeling settled with those concerns. The rain does not reach me whatsoever in either layer, the outside 600 Nylon protective is sturdy, but will beging to break in and get more comfortable after a couple of wears. The removable flaps in the arms are generous and well ventilated. I look forward to wearing it once the winter is over. The water proof inner coat is also of very high quality material, and the quilted liner makes it a very warm option as well, but I wear this only in the afternoons when it's a bit warmer, and I don't require the high visiabiltiy features, since it is a black quat with a reflective strip going across the back. The back pack is also waterproof, sturdy, and I love using it to cary my sack lunch, library books, and other rain gear. The fit is true to size, and comfortable.Bottom line, this coat is very versitle, extremely well constructed, and a great value compared to some other rain coats that can cost much more at your local dealer for the same features. Give a try! With Amazon Prime free returns, it's work the test drive!I bought this as a gift. We had been looking for a while for a jacket that would fit his 6'6" frame. We found this in a store but it was a size too small. These run larger than most motorcycle jackets. Keep this in mind if you are riding in warmer climates as you won't need the two liners. This jacket is excellent quality and if you can get if for under $100 as we did, it is an even better bargain. There are only two negatives. The first is with the storage in the back of the jacket. There is a zip in back pack and a large pocket on the lower back. These are very handy but if you put anything with some weight to it in these, the jacket will tilt to the back and cause the front around the neck to be a bit uncomfortable. No real way for Vega to fix this. The second is he comments that in hot weather, his forearms get very hot. There is no ventilation in this area. The ventilation everywhere else is excellent. The liners are high quality. Even the rain liner, where most companies skimp, is a good jacket on it's own. This jacket is great. Very high quality. When you use the 2 interior linings, it's probably warm down to 40 or less. I've only tried it at 50 and it was perfect. Integrated backpack makes it easy to store the liners once it warms up. Large fits great on my kind of lanky 6' 190lb.This is a really great jacket. I have owned several jackets that were much more expensive and this matches up to most. I love the ability to open all of the vents of which there are many and the air really flows through. For a heavy 3 season jacket it is well worth the money.
