That steering gear is a perfect fit, even for a Murray that is so old it's not on their database.This is the 2nd one I've ordered though. It's stout enough for mowing lawns... and the first one performed quite well mowing two yards for a few summers.But... for hauling small trailers full of fill dirt up and down hills, and doing 10 point u turns in tight places in rocks... That's pretty hard on these units... and I stripped out the gears on the first one.Therefore there's no need to complain... this steering gear set simply sn't made for that kind of abuse. It is quite sufficient for its intended applivation.So I'll just have to save up and buy a Magna Trac kit.
